Pre-made Library Sequencing on Ultima Platforms

Pre-made Library Sequencing on Ultima Platforms

With extensive collaboration with Ultima Genomics, Novogene is proud to be among the first batch of Certified Service Providers (CSPs) for the cutting-edge UG 100 Solaris platform. Now equipped with UG 100 Solaris in our sequencing fleet, we’re excited to offer a fast, scalable, and cost-effective premade library sequencing solution designed for high- throughput applications.

Why Ultima Sequencing with Novogene?

  • 10 billion reads per waferfor ultra-high data output
  • Lower cost per million reads, compared to other short-read technologies
  • Fast turnaround time with streamlined workflow support
  • More informative delivery format withCRAM options available
  • Expert bioinformatics supportfor data processing
  • Accepts bothUltima- and Illumina-compatible librarieswith hassle-free conversion service offered
  • Processing and sequencing at US local lab

How Does It Work?

The UG 100 significantly lowers sequencing costs by introducing a novel sequencing substrate built on 200mm silicon wafers—an essential component in the electronics industry. Instead of conventional microfluidics, it employs contactless spin-coating, a technique commonly used in chip manufacturing. Its sequencing chemistry is largely natural, with only a small fraction of nucleotides labeled with fluorescent tags.

One nucleotide type (A, C, T, or G) is added per cycle, and the full wafer surface is scanned to determine base incorporation, shifting the base-calling challenge from identifying “which base” to simply determining “how many” are incorporated. Fluorescent labels are then removed through the same efficient spin-coating method. This high-speed, circular motion enables fast and accurate imaging across the wafer’s expansive surface.

All of these benefits come not only without sacrificing data quality but also with stunning single nucleotide variant (SNV) accuracy – using the Ultima Genomics novel ppmSeq™ technology, substitutions can be detected at 1 part-per-million accuracy.

Supported Applications

  • Single-cell sequencing
  • RNA sequencing
  • Methylation sequencing
  • Whole genome sequencing
