Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for the development and achievement of sales in the assigned accounts. Must have science background (genetics and or biology).

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, establish and implement an effective sales plan tailored to the assigned accounts to achieve the quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Focus on rapidly developing and growing business in the assigned accounts.
  • Act as the key interface between the customers and all relevant Novogene divisions.
  • Maintain current understanding and knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Must be able to communicate accurately and efficiently with a wide range of professionals within assigned accounts.
  • Field-based position; up to 25% overnight travel required.
  • Utilize Salesforce to accurately document and track client related information and sales opportunities.

Background:

  • BS degree in life science minimum; advanced degree, newly grads encouraged to apply
  • Working knowledge of NGS, genomics, and/or molecular biology
  • Prior sales and account management experience in biotech a plus
  • Deep knowledge/network within assigned accounts is a plus

Responsibilities：

  • Maximization of sales in your area. Make plans to achieve your sales goals, conduct effective sales activities, and report accurate sales forecasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customized solutions in data analysis directly to our customers and assist in any pre/post sales problems.
  • Troubleshoot post-sales issues including experimental design, data generation, data processing, bioinformatics. Identify root cause and feedback to corresponding company department and solve customer’s problems. Actively collaborate with internal departments in supporting and resolving complex customer and/or product issues.
  • Support sales efforts including pre-sales technical presentations and discussion on experimental design to improve our win rate in complex sales situation.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s in life sciences or biotechnology disciplines.
  • Min 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role or 2 years’ experience in research sector
  • Experience in cell/tissue culture and molecular biology
  • Familiar with NGS
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills

  • Manages AMEA margin and pricing for products.
  • Plan product strategic development direction and formulate long-term competitive strategy for products. Plan the annual product development direction and formulate the annual product plan.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager on Intelligence, and marketing trends to build robust marketing plans for NGS products portfolios.
