Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, molecular, biotechnology)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, a focus on NGS products and services will be a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in local academic research area
  • Strong understanding of NGS technology and the life sciences market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, preferably to be able to communicate in English, Chinese and Cantonese.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets

Responsible for leading and managing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

  • Receive biological samples from customers for NGS Sequencing
  • Prepare sequencing libraries, perform quality assessment and perform sequencing runs
  • Analyze sequencing data and report results to customers in a timely manner
  • Assist in ensuring proper documentation of all processes including monthly report of sequencing services conducted
  • Assist in trouble shooting for customers
  • Interact with bioinformaticians and evaluate bioinformatics output
  • Maintain lab equipment & documentation in accordance with quality requirements of ISO and CAP accreditation standards
  • Supervise and train junior staff
  • Other ad-hoc projects as required by the superiors

Requirement:

  • Degree in Genetics, Biology or related life sciences major
  • Fresh graduates are welcome, prior lab work experience is a plus
  • Hands on NGS experience is highly desirable
  • Strong molecular biology background
  • Familiar with real time PCR, bioanalyser, sequencing assays
  • Familiar with bioinformatics software and methodologies is a plus
  • Good analytical skills and detail-oriented

Responsibilities:

Plays a critical role in supporting and advancing the use of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies in a clinical setting and NGS applications. Required to provide technical and scientific support to customers.

  • Provide customized solutions in data analysis directly to our customers and also assist in any pre/post sales problems.
  • Troubleshoot post-sales issues that cannot be answered by TS/PM including experimental design, data generation, data processing, bioinformatics. Identify root cause and feedback to corresponding company department and solve customer’s problems. Actively collaborate with OM, TS and PM in supporting and resolving complex customer and/or product issues.
  • Support sales efforts including pre-sales technical presentations and discussion on experimental design to improve our win rate in complex sales situation.
  • Perform the on-site experiment demo when needed to support our customer in initiating the novel experiments for large projects
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to improve customer satisfaction
  • Continuously update scientific & technological knowledge, focusing on identifying and understanding current and novel applications which would help accelerate revenue growth in AMEA region.
  • Proactively share experience, scientific knowledge and skills via trainings, discussions, QnAs with our employees and distributors to help to build an organization with strong knowledge in the life sciences.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree/Master’s in life sciences or biotechnology disciplines.
  • Min 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role or 2 years’ experience in research sector
  • Experience in cell/tissue culture and molecular biology
  • Familiar with NGS
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
