De novo Sequencing
De novo whole genome sequencing is a method to sequence the genome of an organism, without relying on a reference genome. This approach is particularly useful for studying organisms with no previously sequenced genome or for identifying novel genes and genetic variations, that might be missed when using a reference-based approach. At Novogene, we offer both short read and long-read sequencing platforms to help you achieve de-novo assemblies of reference quality genome. De novo sequencing approach can be applied to animals, plants, and microorganisms, to study diverse fields including evolutionary biology, developmental biology, mutagenesis studies, agriculture, biomedical sciences and others.
