Sequencing Platform
ILLUMINA

ILLUMINA NOVASEQ PLATFORM
NovaSeq X Plus
- The NovaSeq X Plus is a production-scale, high-performance sequencer that employs Illumina’s fastest and most robust XLEAP-SBS chemistry and offers the lowest price per sequenced Gb among all Illumina sequencers
- NovaSeq X Plus incorporates patterned flow cell technology to expand its throughput. A dual flow cell sequencing run with 25B flow cells (FCs) can generate up to ~16 TB of data in as little as 48 hours, making it ideal for large-scale population and cohort studies. For medium- to large-scale projects, 10B flow cells deliver up to 6 TB of data with an 8-lane configuration, offering greater flexibility compared to the NovaSeq 6000. In addition, 1.5B flow cells are available for smaller scale sequencing needs, providing a cost-effective option while maintaining the high data quality and performance of the NovaSeq X platform, plus greater flexibility compared to NovaSeq 6000.
- Novogene also accepts projects that require custom sequencing strategies and offers bespoke solutions for your projects.

ILLUMINA NOVASEQ PLATFORM
NovaSeq 6000
- Illumina’s NovaSeq 6000 is a production-scale sequencer that combines two-colour chemistry with patterned flow cell to enable high-throughput and high-accuracy sequencing, delivering ≥ 85% of sequenced bases with a quality score of Q30 or higher.
- It is compatible with projects of different sizes and produces up to 6 TB of data per run in as short as 40 hours duration. It supports multiple flow cell types and read lengths up to 2X250, enabling diverse applications.
- Novogene also accepts projects that require custom sequencing strategies and offers bespoke solutions for your projects.
ELEMENT BIOSCIENCES

Element AVITI24 Platform
- TheElement AVITI24™ is a compact, benchtop short-read sequencer designed for flexible and cost-effective sequencing across small to medium throughput projects.
- Powered by Avidity™ Base Chemistry (ABC) the AVITI24 platform delivers high data accuracy and exceptional uniformity while maintaining competitive cost efficiency. Its PCR-free rolling circle amplification (RCA) technology removes amplification bias during library loading and cluster formation, reducing sequencing artifacts and enabling a true PCR-free workflow from library to data.
- The AVITI24 supports multiple sequencing configurations, including PE75, PE150, and PE300 among others, using a dual-lane flow cell design with data outputs ranging from approximately 375 million to 1.5 billion reads per flow cell. Typical run times of 24–48 hours provide rapid, high-quality results ideal for research requiring precision and scalability.
- Novogene offers sequencing-only services for compatible premade libraries on the AVITI24, providing a seamless option for customers seeking accurate, efficient, and locally processed short-read data.
PACBIO

PACBIO REVIO PLATFORM
- With high density, 25 million ZMW SMRT (Single Molecule, Real-time) cells, up to 4 SMRT cells sequencing in parallel and optimized on-instrument base calling, the PacBio Revio sequencer delivers up to 360 Gb of HiFi data in less than 24 hours.
- Revio offers HiFi reads by default, which are tens of kb long, with 90% of bases >Q30, providing the ability to resolve large variants and traditionally difficult to map, repetitive regions of the genome. HiFi sequencing also helps discover DNA methylation, without bisulfite treatment.
- Novogene delivers unmatched data output while maintaining a mean data quality of >Q30, owing to its extensive experience with sequencing samples from different species. For samples that pass our QC requirements, Novogene also offers guaranteed data output on Revio.

PACBIO SEQUEL II/IIE PLATFORM
- The Sequel IIe is based on Single Molecule, Real-Time (SMRT) technology for long read DNA sequencing. Each Sequel IIe SMRT 8M flow cell has 8 million ZMW wells and can generate up to 30 Gb HiFi data per flow cell.
- The platform offers two different sequencing modes: CLR (legacy) for accurate, long reads with an emphasis on obtaining the longest reads possible and CCS (HiFi) with an emphasis on obtaining long reads with high accuracy through multiple passes of the same molecule.
- Since 2017, Novogene has extensive sequencing experience for samples belonging to a broad range of species on the Sequel IIe and therefore continues to deliver excellent data quality.
10X GENOMICS

10X Genomics Visium CytAssist
- The Visium CytAssist is a compact instrument that simplifies the Visium spatial transcriptomics workflow by facilitating the transfer of transcriptomic probes from two FFPE sections on standard glass slides onto the Visium capture areas per run in less than 1 hour, while maintaining spatiality and minimizing mislocalisation.
- Novogene’s end-to-end service workflow for spatial transcriptomics of mouse and human FFPE samples is powered by 10X Genomics’s Visium Spatial Gene Expression technology and employs the Visium CytAssist device.
Oxford Nanopore Technologies

NANOPORE PromethION PLATFORM
- Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) flow cells contain an array of nanopores embedded in an electro-resistant membrane. The DNA and RNA molecules are sequenced by passing them through the nanopores and rapidly analysing the generated electrical signals to provide real-time sequence information.
- ONT can perform direct, PCR-free sequencing of native DNA/RNA molecules and can provide insights into methylation signatures and DNA/RNA modifications, without requiring special library preparation.
- Oxford Nanopore’s PromethION 48 is part of Novogene’s fleet of sequencing machines and is the only technology capable of sequencing long (or even ultra-long 1Mb+) fragments of DNA. The modular design of the PromethION allows for multiple experiments to be conducted at once, facilitating for both scale and flexibility of use.
