The rapid development of NGS in terms of technologies and analyses has been instrumental in accelerating biological and medical research and diagnostics. Using NGS, researchers and clinicians can investigate whole genomes, exomes, transcriptomes, epigenomes, and more. Recently, the concept of multiomics has been established to refer to the integration and combined analysis of a variety of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolic datasets. This type of combined analysis delivers a more comprehensive picture of complex biological processes and phenotypes.<\/p>\n<p>In this webinar, we are going to explore the history of NGS with an overview of the different sequencing principles and discuss various applications.
